FEATURE ALL YOUR DETAILS IN OUR FOLDED WEDDING INVITATIONS
Are you stressed out trying to figure out how to include all your wedding details in one chic mailer? With wedding dates, the venue name, menu selection, registry details, lodging recommendations, and countless other important information to share, it can be challenging to effectively share all this information in style. Minted’s four-panel wedding invitations can help relieve your troubles and organize your invitation in an aesthetically pleasing way. They combine convenience and value via unique, high-quality designs. These folded wedding invitations offer four personalizable sections. First, you have the front of the card, perfect for artistic elements and simple details. Next, you have the two inner panels where you can elect to share the crux of your wedding details. Lastly, the back of the card can be customized to include a picture, map, list, or other relevant information your guests will appreciate. Browse our designs and personalization tools to see how Minted can help produce a spectacular correspondence!
Our folded wedding invitations measure 4.25” x 6” and fit nicely in our traditional A7 envelopes sized at 5.25” x 7”. Many of our designs offer either portrait or landscape orientations to fit your personal preference. Order invitations in increments of 10 based on the number of guests you will be inviting to your wedding. It never hurts to order a few extras for those unexpected friends you may make along the way.
WAYS TO BRING YOUR ENGAGEMENT STORY TO LIFE
Think of your wedding invitation as four blank canvases awaiting your design direction. It is entirely up to you what information or imagery will appear where. One thing to keep in mind as you finalize the look of your card, is that the front cover will most likely receive the most attention, as the invitation is displayed on a person’s fridge, desk, pinboard, or mantle. Continue reading for some design considerations.
Design options for the front of your card:
There are a few options for the front of your card, either image-focused or text-focused. If opting to showcase a picture of the wedding couple, consider letting the picture shine brightest. Surround the image with simple text that notes the couples’ names and maybe the wedding day details like date, location, and time. Preferably the font coloring, sizing, or style does not distract too much from the primary photo. For a text-focused cover, there are two directions you can take your design. The first is text-heavy, with all necessary information included and minimal design elements. The second is light text with just the couples’ names and basic information, allowing room for more design elements. The design option you choose will have a lot to do with the wedding theme you select. For example, if you have decided upon a botanical wedding in a rose garden, you may want to select a card front that showcases hand-drawn flowers predominantly on the design with subdued text summarizing key points.
Design options for the inside panels:
If the wedding day details are not on the front of the invitation, the inside panels are the next best place. The inside could also display a framed photo on one side and the couples’ love story on the other. You could also use both panels to show off your engagement photos. Another use of the inside panels is to stretch one large engagement photo across both panels. Just make sure the fold crease will not disrupt the image you choose.
Another playful layout to consider includes dedicating the inside panels to bios of each person getting married. Featuring bios is a great way for guests to get to know the bridal couple better. Information to include in the bios could detail where each person grew up, little known facts, or funny details like a most embarrassing moment. Let your personality and wedding theme guide your design. In addition to choosing what text to feature about each individual, you can also be experimental with the photos. Highlight child images of the couple, high school graduation photos, engagement photos, or even a picture of each person in a Halloween costume, for the couple who likes to share a laugh with friends and family.
If you decide to predominantly feature photos on the outside panels, take advantage of the inside of your four-panel wedding invitation to include full-length text details. Call out the location, directions, event time frame, attire, accommodations, wedding website with registry information, RSVP details, and any social media hashtags you want your guests to use in social media posts. It is never a bad idea to start promoting your unique hashtag early.
Design options for the backer:
Wait, what about options for the back panel of your invitation? If you use the inside sections to include all of your text, then you can end your invite with an engagement photo on the rear panel. You could also save the backer for a personal handwritten message to each guest. We love this idea for an extremely personal touch. To achieve this look, simply leave the back panel blank during the customization process. For a more minimalist approach, you could also sort through recommended coordinated patterns to be printed on the backer.
Another back panel possibility is a photo collage. Visually share your experiences and memories as a couple with all your guests. You know grandparents will love this idea! A slight variation to this styling is a photo timeline. Showcase photos of different stages of your relationship like your first date, first trip together, and your wedding proposal! Guests will love learning the details!
As you start editing your folded wedding invitations, you will see that we present you with easy-to-use templates to manipulate what information will appear where. All the ideas we have shared above will be presented to you during the design creation process.
