Minted has dozens of beautiful designs featuring the Star of David, Hebrew text, and bright gold or silver foil accents, all created by talented artists from around the world.
A QUICK REFRESHER ON “BAT” AND “BAR” MITZVAHS
For those who sometimes confuse Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah (they are just one letter apart), we thought we would provide a quick reminder. Bar Mitzvahs are for celebrating 13-year-old Jewish boys as they have completed their lessons and learnings through the synagogue. Similarly, Bat Mitzvahs are for young girls of about the same age. During these ceremonies, they’re granted permission to start reading from the Torah among many other honors and responsibilities in this new chapter.
PERSONALIZE YOUR INVITATIONS
Minted’s designs are created by independent artists who range in talents and skill sets, which keeps our assortment of invitations diverse in look and feel. Each unique design comes printed on flat, double-sided cards that are 5” x 7” and include an envelope. Depending on how many cards you need, you can customize your order, starting at a minimum order of 25. Cards are priced at $2.49 each (for a default order of 85). Further differentiate your bat or bar mitzvah invitations by customizing design elements such as:
- Color Theme: Once you’ve found a design you love, you can choose to change the color theme to another one if it matches your event better. Choose from numerous unique colors including sapphire, pebble, lake, or ruby.
- Card Shape: Minted offers bat mitzvah cards with curved edges, rounded corners, straight edges, a waved frame, a classic frame, and so much more. You can choose a frame that best matches the guest of honor’s style.
- Select a Paper Quality: Using a thicker, luxurious paper will amplify the significance of your event. Try Minted’s DoubleThick Paper, an extra thick, luxurious paper with a rich creamy texture that is made from two layers of paper. Or, explore our TripleThick Paper that is crafted from three layers of paper by the papermakers at Mohawk.
- Add Custom Foil: One way to add a luxe look is to highlight certain details in metallic foil print. Depending on the card design, you can write the child’s name and invitation details in foil, while other cards use foil as an accent to highlight symbolic elements like the Star of David.
- Edit the Text: Include all the important details for your celebration. From the name of the synagogue to the RSVP info, Minted makes it easy for you to include anything you want. Change font sizes, alignment, and styling to best fit your invite’s design.
- Include a Photo: While some designs include a space to feature a photo on the front of your card, all designs allow for a special templated backer to be printed on the back of your Bar Mitzvah invite that can showcase one, or a collage of photos along with a personal message. With our editing tools, there’s no need to hire a graphic designer. This is a fun way to surprise and delight those who receive a card with extra info.
- Envelope Customization: Once your card is ready to go, choose a unique envelope color for your invite so it really stands out in the mailbox. We also let you select designed envelope addressing that can feature matching design elements. Create a professional look surrounding the entire presentation of your invite so it all ties together.
IMPORTANT DETAILS TO INCLUDE ON YOUR INVITE
While invitations might look simple and short, there are actually quite a few details to include on them, and many of those details are logistical. Some families may wish for guests to attend the actual religious ceremony and a reception after, while others may just want to invite guests to a post-ritual reception/party. Make sure your Bar and Bat Mitzvah invites are clear in terms of their guidance. Here is a list of details to include:
- Include “Bar Mitzvah” or “Bat Mitzvah: Let recipients know what we are celebrating
- Child’s name
- Name of the parents (optional)
- Date and Time
- Ceremony Location: If you are inviting guests to the religious ceremony, provide the name of the synagogue, Jewish community center, etc. Be sure to provide the address as well.
- Reception Location: If a reception will be held after at a different time and location, provide details to that as well.
- RSVP details: Include a phone number or email address where guests can respond.
EASILY INCLUDE ADDITIONAL MATCHING STATIONERY
During the card personalization process, we will provide you with additional stationery options you may wish to order that will perfectly match your party invitations. Those include:
- Direction cards: You can include a matching insert card sized at 4.25” x 5.5” that details exact directions to your celebration.
- RSVP cards: Include RSVP cards along with your bar mitzvah invitations or bat mitzvah invitations, so guests can send back their response rather than emailing or calling to RSVP.
- Thank you cards: Order thank you cards in advance so your child can start composing notes of gratitude for the presents they may receive.
